The Washington Post is reporting that the Redskins are looking to acquire Chad Johnson from the Bengals.
(I'm providing the excerpt from the article because you have to register for washingtonpost.com content.)
Numerous league sources, including some with direct knowledge of conversations between owner Daniel Snyder, executive vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato and recent head coaching candidates, have affirmed that the Redskins have interest in trading for Cincinnati wide receiver Chad Johnson, with two league sources saying Johnson is eager to land a hefty new contract from Washington.
Acquiring an elite receiver is Snyder's top priority, league sources said. The Bengals have said they have no intention of trading Johnson, but his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, is working quietly to broker a deal, the sources said.
Later in the article ...
If Johnson is traded, two general managers estimated it would take a low first-round and a third-round pick, or perhaps two second-round picks, to land him.
The Washington Post report is also mentioned on msnbc.com and a couple of other sites.
Not sure if you ever saw this last month on Deadspin.

What do you know about this? Do you have some kind of magnetic communicator? I think we should meet and plan how to stop them from taking over. If we're to succeed, we'll need to set our phasers to One Hell of a Blast.
Since you moderate these comments, I know this will never show up for the public. That's good. I'm very tired, and was clicking links, and ran across your blog. So, I thought I'd be obnoxious for a while. All in the interest of promoting awareness of vernaculitis. And rabies.
