Bengals.com says Justin Smith will definitely give Cincinnati a chance to re-sign him when free agency opens. He claims he didn't give it much thought when the Bengals chose to make Stacy Andrews their franchise free agent instead of him, and he understood the rationale behind it.
Who knows what he's really thinking, but it's always good when you don't irk a free agent by franchising someone else. So maybe they can hang onto him.
